Ashley Kvistad brings warmth, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping clients heal and grow. With a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from Dominican University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Central Florida, Ashley has built a career rooted in understanding the full complexity of the human experience. Ashley has specialized training in supporting survivors of domestic violence and has worked in a wide range of mental health settings, both individually and in group. Ashley works with children, teens, and adults, meeting each client at their developmental stage and tailoring her approach to fit their unique needs. With younger clients, she incorporates creativity, play, and emotional education to help build trust and self-awareness. With adolescents, she helps navigate identity, peer relationships, and emotional regulation. For adults, she offers a collaborative and empowering space to explore life transitions, mental health challenges, and personal growth.

Her clinical experience includes supporting clients through the often complex and layered challenges of personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Ashley understands that these diagnoses don’t define a person rather they reflect the impact of life experiences, relationships, and internal struggles that deserve validation and care. She works to help clients untangle painful patterns, reduce emotional intensity, and build healthier ways of coping. Whether it’s navigating the highs and lows of emotional dysregulation, managing intrusive thoughts, or working through the effects of trauma, Ashley offers steady guidance rooted in evidence-based practices and genuine human connection.

Her goal is to help clients feel more in control of their emotions, more confident in their decisions, and more grounded in who they are. For example, using a trauma-informed lens, Ashley blends dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches to create personalized, meaningful treatment. Her priority is connection, building trust and working together to help you move forward. Whether you’re navigating daily stress or confronting past trauma, Ashley will meet you where you are and help you uncover the resilience already inside you. Clients describe Ashley as grounded, intuitive, and easy to open up to. She’s someone who truly listens and helps you reconnect with your goals, your values, and your sense of direction.

Outside the therapy room, Ashley loves walking her dog, getting lost in a good book, and turning up the music for Latin dance workouts or bike rides. She’s a self-proclaimed old soul with a soft spot for ‘80s crime shows.
