Lisa Gleich is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over two decades of experience. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. In addition, Lisa is a Certified School Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is Trauma Conscious Yoga Method Certified.
Lisa began her career in the mental health field in Youth and Family Services at the Township of Schaumburg. During her 12 years at the Township of Schaumburg, Lisa worked with adolescents and their families at the clinic, schools, and teen center settings. She utilized modalities including individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy, facilitating groups including Anger Management, Addictions, Grief and Loss, Self-Esteem, Social Skills, and Parenting.
In 2012, Lisa’s son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It was at this time she became an advocate for families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She began working at Mobile Therapy Centers of America (MTC) in 2014 providing counseling for children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. In addition, while at MTC Lisa facilitated a Parenting Program and an Autism Parent Support Group.
Since 2012, Lisa has been an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work at Aurora University. Her favorite classes she has taught include Expressive Therapies with Children, Social Work Practice with Adolescents, Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders, and Group Therapy.
Lisa enjoys counseling children, adolescents and adults specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorders, Trauma, Women’s Issues, and Parenting. Lisa looks forward to working with you at New Transitions Counseling Center.
